Students of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, on Monday, shut the university's two exit gates, in protest of what they described as the invasion of bedbugs and mosquitoes in their hostels.
The protesting students locked the gates and hanged their bed bug infested mattresses on the gates for the world to see.

The protest by the students began as early as 7am which led to vehicular traffic within and around the university community.
