A man has tragically died after falling off an escalator and landing on an unsuspecting pensioner.
CCTV footage from a shopping mall captured the accident on camera and shows the 54-year-old man stepping on the escalator before taking a tumble over the handrail.
As he plunges to the floor, the man lands on the head of another shopper, thought to be 74-years-old.
Both men then fall to the ground and lie motionless as panicked onlookers rush over to help them.
The 54-year-old man died of his injuries but it is believed that the 74-year-old he landed on survived.
The tragic incident is believed to have taken place at a shopping centre in the city of Kazan in Russia. The shocking footage was uploaded to viral video site LiveLeak.com yesterday, MirrorUK reports.
